I want to fill in the checkering on a synthetic rifle stock. Is Bondo the best stuff to use or is there a different product that would be better? Thanks

Bondo is too soft. You need to use an epoxy and then shape it.

Make sure to remove any remaining release from the stock.

I have used Acraglass gel to fill pores and the like when finishing off a synthetic and it has held up well for years.

Oh...I forgot that I have a partial can of Devcon left. Do you think that would be good? I am not sure how easy it is to sand or if paint will adhere to it. I will go see what I can find out on the website.

Devcon will work. Sand to 320 and paint will adhere.

Evercoat glazing putty

This is one of the best fillers for glass stocks.
It can be thinned with acetone .
