BTW, thanks for all the kind words, folks. What a blast. Next trip will be up in my backyard. Can't wait. Thanks again for everything, Roger, and Airi wanted me to thank you for taking care of me, and making sure I didn't get maimed or incarcerated. Oh, and still no shotgun.

I'll have to admit that some of the things Roger and Birdwatcher are tucking into are completely unknown to this Canuck - who watches the food network occasionally! This Sir, is Tex Mex... ...and unusually good Tex Mex too I might add. Looks like an enchilada plate with a side order of guacamole. On the one side is sort of greasy rice, that brown stuff on the other side is actually beans. All ya really need to know about Tex Mex is that "manteca" (hog lard) is the #1 ingredient, in all of it. This is why it is so good, our taste buds love warm fat. This was the morning, Leighton elected for a lunch plate out of curiousity, I followed his lead on account of I had no idea what the arrangement for lunch was gonna be. See, once you eat a plate of that stuff ya dont really have to eat again for about another three days, so, if you're ever down to just one meal a day, make it Tex Mex and you wont notice anything different. And the plate will only set you back maybe $7 most places. OTOH, if you DO elect to eat again before three days is up, your body will conserve all that extra manteca by lining yer arteries and storing it around your middle. Not fer nothing was San Antone consistently voted one of the fattest cities in America. Great stuff Birdwatcher

Birdwatcher I don't know about first dove with a flinter, but it just occurred to me that with a correct period bayonet, you could be the first to murder a hog with some cold steel stuck on the end of one. Food for thought.
