I would like to shoot some trap this winter. What type of load do I use? Light or Heavy? I have some RedDot and #8 shot. I will be using a 12ga.

If you are not an experienced shooter, I would suggest shooting a 1 oz load at somewhere between 1150 and 1200 fps. I'd suggest using a Rem STS hull, the rem wad, rem primer. Look up the load for Red Dot at Alliantpowder.com, but I would guess about 16.5 to 17 grains.

Alternatives for the wad might be a Duster or Windjammer II. For primers, I like the Winchester, but the Rem will work fine, too. HTH, Dutch.
