Any opinions, pro or con, on the Hornady factory DGX 300 gr. performance on buffalo? Given the cost of components, is it worth reloading to improve results?

Performance was outstanding on mine. First shot through right shoulder, totally exploded heart and exited just behind left shoulder at approx. 40 yards. Buff spun and began charge. Second round drooped him in his tracks at 20 yards. Bullet entered neck just in front of withers. Ended up just under the hide of rear quarter. No compalints.
