Does anyone know of any gunsmiths in the states who are building hunting rifles on wood stocks? My dad is going to have a .375 RUM built and is in the process of the initial investigations into this project.

I've looked at the Serengeti Stock works website, very interesting. I haven't seen many reviews of this company, Docb seems to be happy with his and it does look nice.

When my Dad lost the sight in his right eye, Bill G
constructed a "crossover" stock that allowed my
Dad to shoulder his rifle righthanded and have the
scope be in front of his left eye. Dad liked it so
much he had two more stocks made, one for his
.350 rem and one for his 12 guage.

tburkes, just for clarification is there a budget figure your dad has in mind for the RUM?

He hasn't really discussed a price range. This will be a hunting rifle, not a museum object. I think the $4000 range will be about what he has in mind.
