I have Browning BPS that I use for upland game, turkey and deer (with a scoped, rifled slug barrel). I never noticed how much creep, over travel and how high the trigger pull on my shot gun was until I spent some time sighting in for the up coming season. I was shoting the shotgun after my new rifle with a great trigger job. I've not heard of hunters getting a trigger job for a shot gun. I suspect a crisp break around 4-6 lbs without much creep or overtravel would really help the deer and turkey hunting. Would it hurt for upland hunting?

Thanks for the info.

Check with Timney. I'm pretty sure they can help you.

Most all of my shotguns have had trigger jobs and I recommend this modification highly. Shooting a K-80 at skeet spoiled my trigger finger. Be certain that the 'smith that does the work KNOWS what he's doing!

I know exacrtly what you mean. I've got a BPS Upland in 20 GA. The trigger pull was atrocious to begin with, although after a couple hundred rounds it did improve a little. I'd like a nice crisp pull of about 4.5 tp 5 pounds on it but I don't know a good smith in my area that can do this. I used a Browning smith in western Oregon once for some worl on a BAR and I'm thinking about giving him a call again.
