out running errands the other day, passing a pawn shop I check inventory on sometimes, decided to make 5 minutes and see what they had. Win. mdl 70 super shadow in 7mm wsm (actually 2 of them), I'm shopping for a 325 wsm, so not really interested, till I notice a Ziess on top of one of the 7 wsm's. 20 minutes later I walk out with it for $369, Ziess conquest 3.5-10X44 in leupold rings and bases, win also had a muzzle brake added. Not what I was after but for that price rifle, scope, Sling, etc. I bought it. I always hear everyone else's luck stories, and finally have one of mine own <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

a whole rig for the price of the scope retail. man, what did the poor sucker who pawned get in cash? then again, it probably was a crackhead thief who had no idea what it was worth. and the pawnbroker: did HE know what he had? great buy.

I'd stash that scopeand bases away. Then send the rifle off to be rebarreled.

I am with Herr Kaiser on this one. EIther re-barrel it or sell the rifle and put the money towards the rifle that you want.

I have been giving thought to rebarreling to 325 wsm, and selling rifle to aquire 325 wsm, but picked up 2 boxes of 7mm wsm yesterday on clearance, so I gotta shoot it now. If memory serves me, I believe the 7mm wsm is in the neighborhood of the 270, and since my collection is devoid of 270's, if this thing shoots I will probably have to keep it.
