If you wanna go cheap and effective, you can get one of the plastic hawkeye stocks for around $60, and they make a pretty good looking rig.

Well, you're at the right place. Order a McMillan. Wait 3 months and you get something like this:

That's a smart looking rig. What pattern and color ratio?

Fost what is that colour called? do you like the forend length? these would be proportioned for a 24" barrel and seem long to me for a 20", you have one of the few black coloured ones out there

"McWoody" (34% Med Brown, 33% light Brown, 33% Black)

I personally had no issue (aside from aesthetics) with the forearm length.

Yes, doesn't seem to be that many stainless steel with the BlackDiamond coating. Not a problem though to coat the current SS models with Cerakote or the like.

The stock Hogue isn't exactly short. Looks pretty close to Fost

What is that? I thought it was coated by Ruger. Did Ruger contract the coating from someone? Shows what I know. Seems durable enough. I hope it doesn't come off in 10 yrs though.

The best thing about Fosteology's gun is that I bought it and it is sitting at my FFL for pick up later today. I am excited about it will let you all know about the loads I shoot through it.

I've had great results with the Borden Rimrocks for both the African and Alaskan 375 Rugers

Both were glass bedded.
