Did DAISY Air Gun ever make a BB gun to some what resemble a Savage 99? Or was it just a number Daisy put on an air rifle? They did make a copy of a Win. 1894 lever BB gun. Don't remember what model number they gave it.

There is a "Crosman 99" pellet gun that is supposed to look like a Savage 99, except it has a hammer! I have one.

Yes Daisy did make a model 99 BB gun. Yes it was just a model number that Daisy chose for a BB gun. I received one of these from Santa when I was 8 years old, still have it 37 years later! It is a lever action that did not look like the Savage 99, with target peep rear & globe front sight with interchangeable inserts. Looked very cool, but not very powerfull. Don't think I was ever able to kill anything with it except very small birds. Shot many a squirrels and some rabbits with it that just ran away. But it was fun!

Hey AKN:
Went & saw that Daisy 99. Rough, beat up, not much power when I cocked & pulled the trigger. Had a sling, globe frt sight, aluminum trigger. NAW!!! I can do without, ... and I did !!!

Maybe you could say that the Savage looked like the Daisy. I got one of the Daisy's in about 1968 or 69 when I was 7 or 8. I bought a Savage Brush Gun in 1979. Still have both of them, they both have a straight butt, straight lever and they came with a forend that was wide with grasping grooves.
As a 'he-man' 18 year old, it bothered me that my big bad 358 had the same look as my BB gun. Besides, I preferred the look of my Dad's 'F' so I had a cousin who did woodwork thin the forend on the 358. I'm way past the 'he-man' stage but the 358 still looks better than it did new.
Still have both guns, although I haven't shot the Daisy in years.
