I ordered my first Charles May knife about seven years ago.It was a Handi-Scandi in D2 & Ironwood. The wait was 3 months.
I'm proud to say I am still ordering knives from Charlie & he builds fantastic knives,in many styles, all with very meticulous fit & finish & great grinds.Top notch leatherwork.
Charlie is a heckuva good guy,I'd like to mention, too.

Here is a Bob White with spearpoint blade. Now you would not even known this existed, the blade shape is one of 3,from the knife series that preceeded the Bob White. 440C ss & Mamoth Ivory

Great stuff!
I got my first May a couple of months back (Trace) and am flat-out giddy about it.

The tiger stripe G-10 on the big hand is wayyyy cool and likely just cost me some more $$$$ and a 14 month wait. grin

If you could morph that "big hand" into "a stump" model, I'd be all over it. laugh

HaHa....If you want my honest opinion, why wait. I've never had any one single model from Charlie that was not pure form & function. His knives are all about that.

May I play too? Here's a D2 Big Hand Scandi with Ironwood and mosaic pins (and well-loved K-22):

He uses some of the most intricate mosaic pins I have ever seen:

I have had one of Charlie's Big Hand Scandi knives for a couple years now, It is my favourite "in my day pack" knife he makes. Holds up to most anything. Excellent knife.

Here's my only other May knife, and it's a rather unusual one. It has a skinner profile on a relatively large D2 blade with the scandi grind. The handles are green canvas micarta over white liners. I've never seen another one like it:
