Any of you guys have any experience with these? Just got a 223 and plan on throwing some 75's. I'd like something with turrets as that's what I'm used to, but don't have the cash to spend at the moment for another Zeiss. These seem to have good reviews on Midway, but I'd like to know if you of you guys have any personal ties to them. Thanks.

Have never seen any yet regret buying a Grand Slam of any kind. Weavers seem to be under priced for what they offer. FWIW

Good review of it at snipershide......
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Have never seen any yet regret buying a Grand Slam of any kind. Weavers seem to be under priced for what they offer. FWIW I have been kinda giving a review of a 3-15x50 super slam on another site I visit. I agree so far the things seem under priced. I have some question as to actual click values, but have been impressed that it returns to zero very well and is also pretty repeatable. I do not know about durability but it has held up trough 15 rounds of 338 RUM on a 10 1/4 rifle all up with scope, sling and ammo and no brake. Where it really impressed me today was in its low light performance. For a cheaper scope the dang thing is pretty impressive. I am thinking about buying a few more of the super slams and may try one of the tactical models as well.

No idea what the specs are ringman, but it has not kissed my brow as of yet and this rifle has decent recoil. I just do not have a trained eye for judging a lot of things optics related. They either work for me or they do not. So far this scope is working for me. I am going to run a box test and try to confirm the click values. That may sway me away but I am liking this scope so far. For about the same price as a 2.5-10x40 with CDS you get a scope with real turrets and side focus. I would say that optically they are pretty close with maybe the edge going tot he leupy, but I have not sat down with both yet so it is hard to say. The main thing that matters to me is repeatability in dialing and low light performance other than that a scope is just an aiming device. Now that deer season is over I might get a little more serious about testing the scope.

kicking myself a little for not getting a Super Slam or for that matter the Nitrex 2's. Oh- Weavers are pretty well considered one of the best tracking scopes out there. I have bought and recommened several scopes and brands but there is something with the Weavers, perhaps the bargain of them, that really endears them. Years back I bought a K6 to replace a Vx-1 that was the first scope I ever bought. To me the K6 was a much better scope in terms of brightness and adjustment. Snice then my purchases have been all over the map and I learn a little every time.

This is a little embarrassing to admit. I took that 338 Rum hunting yesterday afternoon so I could see how well the scope performed in low light. What I forgot is that MS has primitive weapon season the last couple weeks. I am a dummy. I could have been ticketed. At least I did not kill the deer I was hunting. If I had it would have soured the memory of the trophy in my mind. I would not have purposefully done it for anything.

At least you didn't get busted and it was an honest mistake. More than I can say for lots I've seen in the last several years around where we hunt.

I'm interested in this scope too.
I have the Grand Slam 3-10 on my 223 LVSF at the moment.
I think very highly of it and am thinking of transferring it over to my 7mm08 Little Sky and getting something with turrets for the LVSF.
Leupold scopes are seriously overpriced here, making Weaver quite appealing. So far the Grand Slam has been plenty rugged and great optics (to my eyes anyway).

Anybody know the difference between the Kaspa and the Grand Slam tactical models? I can see the obvious, but is the GS just a better built scope?

I have never seen a Weaver that didn't track better than the major name brand.

I have a 3x15x42 Super Slam on my 6.5x284. 1/4 clicks. Target turrents are awesome.Tracks great. Only 42 MOA. I am a Leupold guy but if I was to sell my Leupolds I would switch to Super Slams. The only problem with the 4x20x50 is there 1/8 min clicks. A friend of mine has 7 Super Slams and a pile of Grand Slams and he has not had any prolems. Jason from ATK said they are working on getting there Grand Slam 6.5x20x40 and 4x20x50 Super Slam to have 1/4 clicks. I believe the Super Slam 4x20x50 35 moa travel.

The only issue I have with Grand Slam scopes are their minimal eye relief. Optically they are quite good, but the short eye relief and the fact that it is fairly critical is a serious strike against a hunting scope.

You are right SBC about some eye relief shortness and I can't believe that Weaver doesn't redesign that for an otherwise outstanding line of scopes. I love my grand slams but I have no stock crawling issues or eye relief problems.
