I'd LOVE the crossbow on the AR for sure. Just WAY too high for what you get. PSE is nuts on that pricing.
Why not the MZ? The TC Encore platform does similar?
Aesthics wise of course not but the AR is one of my favorite platforms for performance and adaptability. Its also one of the ugliest guns out there ever built.

I saw a 410 upper at a gunshow this weekend. It must have been for 2 1/2" shells only. I guess the question is "what can't you bolt on an AR lower?".

Watching people make crossbows and muzzleloaders out of the AR15 platform is like watching what Californians do when they move to Oregon or Arizona. They show up happy that they left California and then they vote to make it more like the crap hole they left.

Gee if they left the gas system intact, and mounted a little turbine in the upper, plus a revolving cylinder with percussion nipples, they could have the world's first semi-automatic blackpowder revolver

A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Still interesting to me that folks like the versatility of the platform, yet when you get to point c, point l, point z etc... in someones opinion then all of a sudden its stupid.
Me... I can see the joy of it...carry a rifle in an AR... but have an upper for shotgun in the pack... instead of a complete otehr shotgun... etc....
Plus you are so used to the ergonomics and all the controls on the gun there is never a second when you have to thinhk... where is the safety, etc.... mag release and so on....

I agree that familiarity with a platform makes one efficient with it. I don't think I want a muzzleloader based on the AR design but a 12 or 20 gauge upper would be very cool.

I think the MZ was a bit of a stretch, BUT where does one draw the line, you already have a stock that you evidently like, and a trigger and safety that you are used to, why not?

It's longer than it has to be due to the location of the trigger and I doubt that it's any cheaper than most dedicated inlines.

Magazine feed 12 ga on the AR Platform would be great There are a couple of 12 gauge shotguns out there. They look like oversized AR10's... http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/ar-15-style-shotgun-raac-akdal-mka-1919/
