Thanks Bob I don't dislike the bc stock just wondering if I'm missing something with the Mickey. I guess I will spend a little more time on load development and more $ on bullets and powder. The 180 hornady and nosler partition show promise but the 180 accubonds have been awful.

Bigbuck....try the 180 BT instead.I bet it shoots good. Here and there, some have trouble with the AB,although it has been accurate for me in 7mm.Another goodie is the 165 Sierra. It did the best in my 300 WSM EW.

Is it just me, or is the stocks on the long action EW rifles more thicker/bulkier, especially at the grip, than compared to the short action rifles? I compared the two today and the B&C stock on the 325 WSM that I handled seemed thinner.

bearstalker you might be right,...I got sorta that same impression looking at them...but I can't really tell.I thought the 270 EW and the 300WSM EW I had were pretty similar in feel.

The short action EW stocks are shorter in the fore-end and a bit trimmer.
