I had one for a number of years. Good, solid pack with lots of nice features. My old Lowe Alpine didn't have a hydration bladder, so I upgraded, but my brother in law is still using my Lowe Alpine and is quite happy with it.

My first internal was a Lowe Alpine in the late 80s. Used, abused, and loved for many years. I don't know anything about their current offerings.

Have and still use a Lowe Contour Mtn. 40. I wish it had a hipbelt like either MR or Kifaru instead of just webbing. The want for a real hip belt has me looking at an MR Dragonslayer or Big Horn.

Have a Contour IV 90+15 that is every bit as good as new I don't use it anymore, prefer my Osprey. To be fair I never really gave this pack a chance. I bought a 75 L Aether and liked the way it carried so much more that the Lowe has been a dust collector since 2005.

Both are solid packs if somewhat heavy by today's standards. They are about 10 years old, however.

The early ones were the "Landcruiser" of the internal frame pack world. Tough, heavy, and damn-near bulletproof. Maybe not the most sophisticated thing going, but they pioneered the genre.

I've used a couple. About the best truly inexpensive packs there are in my opinion. I upgraded some time ago, but they are consistently decent.

I had a 90's vintage Contour IV 90+15 that I picked up from the factory sale they used to have in Broomfield, CO. It worked quite well, but I "had" to upgrade. wink It weighed about the same as a similar capacity Kifaru standard series and less than most MR, if I'm recalling numbers correctly.
