Nice, very nice!
I can not shoot a 1911 worth a darn. I've tried severl times, but I just can not hit a thing with one. I have no problem with other pistols in 9mm or 40 S & W. Big revolvers in 44 mag and up aren't an issue either, but the 1911 in 45 is a jinx.

I'm not much of a pistolero, but I've picked up a few friends 1911 and damn! I CAN hit with them. They seem like magic. I have my own bull-barreled TC single shots and some revolvers and I'm like a blind man, but those 1911s point themselves. Just go by feel - they seem to do the rest.
I'm wondering how many buckets have died by now...

I have wanted a 1911 for many, many years, but I would have never bought one for myself.
And if I ever did, I wouldn't have bought one this nice...

Not sure what it is about the 1911's Brent, but I'd do better throwing it at the target. I've shot the 500 S&W and 454 Casuls and hit what I was aiming at. The 1911, not so much.

Not sure what it is about the 1911's Brent, but I'd do better throwing it at the target. I've shot the 500 S&W and 454 Casuls and hit what I was aiming at. The 1911, not so much. Probably just a grip shape and size thing for a particular hand or wrist. But I have been amazed by them. Their only down side is the brass chasing you have to do. My FIL has a bunch of semis of all flavors and makes and I can't shoot most of them worth beans. I still haven't found ANY pistol that lets me shoot like the movie stars though...

I went to a gun show in Greenville,SC today.For four or five years I've been looking for a bolt action 30-30.Today I found a Stevens Model 325C.Mirror bore.Very good overall condition.These were made from 1947 thru 1950.It came home with me.Range day Wednesday.

I had a 30-30 bolt action with a magazine for about a day some years back.
Mine was marked "coast to coast" as in coast to coast hardware, I believe it was a stevens.

The judge was jamming up, cylinder was getting stuck after shooting it. Congrats on the Springfield ! They are definitely great shooters ! On the Judge was the cylinder not turning after firing it ? I was looking at a Circuit Judge today and I was wondering if there had been any problems on either model.
