It passed the House.

It will die in the Senate Judiciary Committee. The Committee is chaired by Leahy, Grahamnesty will turncoat from the (R) side. Feinstein, Schumer, Blumenthal, Franken... and others like them on the (D) side.

Anyone got any insight on whether any attempts will be made to add it as a rider to a Senate bill that HAS to pass?

Unless it gets attached as a rider to a Senate bill that HAS to pass, national reciprocity is a dead issue this year.

I've not be able to find any evidence of it being brought up as a rider.

It passed the House with a lot of press then died like it had never happened. Two days after passing there was no more mention. Someone needs to get it attached to something important or it will just die again.

I would like to see it even though it is not the best thing that could happen. Maybe the SAF will get a case to the court in the next year of two that will do the job the way it should be done and this bill would not be needed.

SAF is working on cases.

If the (R)s don't man up and get someone to attach this as a rider to a bill that has to pass, it's going to be quite apparent that they did it only for the press and election year politics in the House, with no real intent to get it done, as they had to KNOW that Reid would refer it to that committee and it'd die there.
