John,

I have M94 AE in 7-30 waters that spends too much time in the safe because the trigger is terrible. Very heavy and gritty feeling. Is it possible for a non-gunsmith to tune this trigger? If so, where can I learn to do and what tools do I need?

Thanks,

Tom

Not JB but until he answersthis link will give you aan idea of how the rebounding hammer, long take-up trigger and the trigger fingers work.
There are several thing you can do to improve the trigger without a lot of tools or experience.

That's interesting info.

Personally, I've never worked on a '94 trigger, having only owned a few 94's, all with decent trigger pulls. Since I've successfully tuned a lot of triggers and certainly am no professional, I see no reason not to. But I also probably wouldn't choose a '94 for my first trigger job!
