How about a personal response to a "thank you" to them for their pro-Second Amendment stance? Just received:

Thank you for your feedback regarding Starbucks' policy on open carry laws. I am truly happy to hear that you support and appreciate our gun policy!
At Starbucks, we deeply respect the views of our customers and recognize that there is significant and genuine passion surrounding the issue of open carry weapons laws. We comply with local laws and statutes in the communities we serve. Our long-standing approach to this issue remains unchanged and we abide by the laws that permit open carry in 43 U.S. states. Where these laws don't exist, openly carrying weapons in our stores is prohibited.
As the public debate around this issue continues, we encourage customers and advocacy groups from both sides to share their input with their public officials. We are extremely sensitive to the issue of gun violence in our society and believe that supporting local laws is the right way for us to ensure a safe environment for both partners and customers.

I've only had SB coffee once in my life, in the O'Hare airport 10 years ago.
We have one down the street from me and my wife and I will give them some business this weekend.

This is so different of my perception of that establishment. After all, that's where the majority of Obama stickers I see on cars are parked or clogging the drive thru. Strange, but alrighty then.

I live in the sticks.... Don't even know where the nearest Starbucks store is.... But like I posted in another thread.... I bought 3 pounds of Starbucks beans a few days ago.....

Here is the message I just sent them:
My wife and I are not normal Starbucks customers, not being big coffee drinkers. BUT today my wife who carries a pistol for self protection and I who do the same will be coming to your store and having a real coffee break. My wife is also taking her co worker there today for a break. We are doing this to counter the so called "Gun Violence Policy Center" call to boycott you for your ecxellent and brave stand in supporting the rights of responsable people who wish to do so legally to carry our firearms into your stores. My wife and I are law abiding good citizens, but she works at a homeless shelter where many of the people who come through are sex offenders and felons of various levels as well as oft times menatally ill and unstable. Although we can legallycarry openly in this state, we have permits to carry concealed so will keep our firearms out of sight out of deference to those who prefer not to see or be around firearms and so that you do not lose business to our open carry.

Just having some fun,Scott. I had to Google that. I take my daughters there but a simple black,mild blend cup of coffee is my order,if I order at all. Their coffee tears up my gut. I'm a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts coffee guy myself.
