The Swarovski EE (extended eye relief) is made for big bores. Eye relief on my Z6 is 4.72.

IDK what or how far you plan on shooting but I took Phil's advice and went with the Leupold FXII 2.5x20 Ultralight on mt 458WM. 4.9" of eye relief is awfully comforting.

This Sightron has about 4" across the power range http://www.sightron.com/index.php?action=view_document&did=1201816362&cat_id=15&id=13 .

Nikon Eye Box scopes have about 4" constant over the power range.

The fixed power Leupold would prevent accidentally having the power up when you need it down for a close range quick shot.

I have a Vortex Viper 2x7x32 on my 375 Ruger Alaskan, and it works just fine. The recoil is not to the extent that the scope will pop ya. It's about equivalent to a Marlin Guide Gun with the 325gr Leverevolution loads, maybe a little more. You'll be pleasantly surprised the first time you shoot it.

...on earth as it is in Texas.
