I would love to hear some opinions/reviews on the Leica ER 2.5 - 10 x 44 scope. I am interested in some real world reviews on this glass. I am looking for a Swarovski Z6 in 1.7 - 10 x 42 and came across the Leica. Just want to get some thoughts of how the two might compare.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I was asking basically the same ? BUT on the ER 3.5-14/Z6 3.5-15, for me it was a NO BRAINER going with the Z6 simply because Leica ONLY has a 10yr warrenty and Swarovski has lifetime... The 10 year scared me away...... You may get some insight from this thread. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbth...w/1/Leica_ER_Rifle_Scope_Question#UNREAD

I called Cameraland this week about a demo ER and was told the demos have 10yr but new are lifetime. Dunno how accurate that is but it's what the salesman told me.

If it were my money I would go with the Swaro if for no other reason than the reputation, even if I couldn't tell the difference in the glass.
I would also think the Swaro will hold resale value better.

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

I tend to agree with choosing the Swaro.
How much less in price would the Leica have to be before you would think about changing your mind?
Thanks.

Thanks. Only you can answer that.Everything is a compromise. On the other hand, once you reach a certin price point, what's a few hundred more?

I have this scope and like it a lot. I bought the Ballistic Reticle and wish I had gotten the #4. That isn't Leica's fault, I have figured out that I prefer less in the reticle.
I have not compared it to a Swaro, S&B, or a Zeiss other than my 3-9 Conquest so I can't say it is better or worse than the others. It is crystal clear and tracks perfectly. It is on my 257 Roberts. It is sharper than my Sixx, Conquest, Euro Diamond and 2.5-10 Accupoint. For the money you can't beat the Conquest but I have no desire to get rid of the Leica. I'd love to have another but it isn't happening this year.
My silliness is wanting a S&B pretty bad to support my looniness.
