fwiw, I dunno if this is what you are looking for, howver, Badger Ordnance is currently making an aluminum trigger guard that accepts Accuracy International Magazines for .308 Winchester based cartridges. They have a LA Magnum version coming out in the near future... http://www.badgerordnance.com/productgroup.php?id=accessories The other that comes to mind is HS Precision makes a fair magazine/guard as well... http://www.hsprecision.com/new_floor_plate.htmRegards, Matt.

Mickey, I did some checking with Brownell's website and it seems that the only Wyatt magazines they carry are fixed boxes designed for big cartridges like the RUM case. There was no mention of a detachable version. Also, I tracked down a website for Wyatt (Here is a link WYATT MAGAZINES ) and there is no mention of a detachable model there either. I'd say HS Precision Hope this helps Good Shooting, HBB

I think Badger also makes a steel trigger guard that uses factory remington detachable magazines, I seen one like this somewhere on the net and owner said it was as mentioned above, but didnt see anything like it on there website.

Mickey, Just a silly thought. Why don't you fabricate your own 700 DBM--patent it and make yourself filthy rich

Anybody that can build a rifle that are as accurate as yours could easily whip up a magazine system ... Yu're just being modest

if one could be had for less than $200. I don't want the extended capacity magazine, either. Thanks for your suggestions.

Mickey, Here's a link to Brownell's . The retail on the H-S regular capacity magazines are $210.00. I think they have a good discount for Gunsmiths and FFL holders, you may want to see what your price actually is from them. On another note, I have a UPS package in Mesquite, Tx right now that should be delivered on Monday or so the tracking # tells me!!!! I'll get that rig dialed in and give you a report soon. Bruce, I'll let you in on a little secret
If you look at a Brownells catalog, like the detachable mag, after their part number #393-210-721 theres a part description. Below that theres another number - 3C186A67. Thats the price for FFL/ gunsmith's. $186.67 Ya didn't hear it from me
