I know a few on the Fire have read and reviewed my book. For that, I thank you. The reviews have placed it #4 top rated on Amazon for westerns. Kev Gibson was the only name I recognized coz he used his real name and not a screen moniker.
Thanks again.
Dan

I bought it and read it, but never thought about posting a review. May have to read it again and put something up. Congratulations! It's a good read!

Ben, appreciate the thought. So far there are 30 reviews on Amazon and only 2 are 4 stars, the rest are five. I'm pretty tickled about that.

Dan,
Reading it now and enjoying it a lot. Just curious, at the price they are selling the Kindle edition, are you actually getting anything from it?

I get about 40 cents for every 99 cent sale.
I lowered the price to 99 cents for two reasons,
#1 I don't really need the money and really want to increase distribution to the point that when I release my second book, people will be more inclined to buy it. Marketing a book to a major publisher is easier if you can demonstrate you've managed to garner some interest with prior work.
#2, my second one is done and it won't be too long before I try to market it.
Glad you're enjoying it. You'll never guess the end.

I just ordered your book on Amazon. I am glad to hear that it is doing well, and I am happy to be able to support a fellow Campfire member. I look forward to reading it, and I will look forward to your next book, also. Have a good day.

Nifty
Thank you a ton. Like I said, it's not the money as much as knowing people are enjoying the story! If I sell a paper back I get a whole buck-sixty! I won't be competing with Stephen King anytime soon. But then Stephen King doesn't know squat about guns and such!

Dan Neither do most other folks writing fiction (there are exceptions). Best to you.

Is the title, "The Long Shooters"? I'll load a copy on my Kindle if you provide the title.

The title is indeed: "The Long-Shooters"
A murder mystery you will not guess, though all the clues are there.
Thanks for the comments. The extra 80 cents will please the wife.

Congrats Dan, though I must confess I bought it on my Kindle but have not got around to it yet.

Thanks all.
The next one is more of a traditional western/historical fiction. It involves an uprising of Comanche who left reservations in 1877 and went to raiding isolated ranches and hunting camps. They stirred things up for a while, but were eventually put down. There isn't a lot of info on the actual occurrence...so I simply wrote my own. It won't be very politically correct, so a larger pub house may not touch it. If so, I'll go independent.

Is there any chance of getting an autographed copy, Dan? Or are they only available from retailers?

I don't have a kindle so I'll have to get a paperback copy. Sounds interesting...
