How about a beavertail and stouter fixed sights and extended thumb safety?? The thing I would like to do on my 1911s..would be Novaks Answer and totally get rid of the grip safety. Then....you need a good holster....Milt Sparks VM2...shark trim on horsehide. Who will do the work for you? Mike J down the road from you?

Would not matter one bit if it were polymer, nylon, steel or aluminium. That includes a MSH too. I don't like plastic on a 1911. More plastic is less rust on the shower gun....

There was a Sig here locally that had an adjustable Novak styled rear. Not sure how makes it? But it was one of the cleanest rear sights I'd seen. Looks fixed, but it ain't. And it had a tritium front. Gotta at least put a tritium up front... Travis

Travis You got that right. I seriously cannot understand the mindset of intentionally leaving yourself needlessly vulnerable just because you're taking a shower. What's that all about, anyway? Handguns are so convenient, what's the down side to keeping one in the bathroom? I could understand if you had little kids in the house, but otherwise not. Even then you could at least bring one in the bathroom each time you take a shower, so long as you lock the door. Just like I don't get why some people feel that Church is a special case where you're obliged to be unarmed. Some things I just don't get, and probably never will.

Just like I don't get why some people feel that Church is a special case where you're obliged to be unarmed. Some things I just don't get, and probably never will. Some of the places I feel the most vulnerable are in a public bathroom or, of all places, a car wash. Even if I'm carrying, it's easy enough to just leave your gun in the car to go to the bathroom. This is even more true in places where you need it the most. Who wants to drop their pants and have to fool with a gun flopping around in some nasty public restroom? Not to mention some of them have water and who-knows-what else on the floor. Many of them have no place to hang one up even if you're of a mind to do that. In a carwash you're concentrating on getting your car clean and can't adequately observe what's going on around you. You don't really want to carry because many times you get wet. My house is pretty secure AND I've got kids, so I don't leave one in the bathroom. I can see doing it if those two criteria aren't in place though.

That's like asking how to make Miss Universe look like a homeless bag lady. I respect Glocks for their function, but they're oogly with a capital "OOG".
I never cared for the Delta symbol and would replace the grips with checkered walnut like the Springfields.

You can put a holster on the side of your toilet bowl for all I care. I was just bustin' balls. Travis
