Would not ask that of you Roger.
Just happens this is one of the few weekend the whole summer where we got a call telling of this upcoming wedding and the invite to come.
Do what works best for the overall group.

we'll just go with the original plan just though I'd throw it out there to see if it would work. he's a good student missing the first day shouldn't matter, doubt they do much the first day any how.

As I said I penciled in that date. Either works for me.
Going to be hard for me to get to Corpus by noon from here. You may have to leave a trail of bread crumbs or something.

no problem we'll be waiting. anyways you can only go north or south and the beach is only 100-200yds wide, hard to get lost.

Ok, Thanks.
They (the kids) use the first day to pick out which girls to chase that year.

BCR, I worried about getting lost also. Successful too. In CC. Once I found the correct road in town, you can't get lost. I think I left DFW at 5 or so in the morning. Hit Austin morning traffic @ 6:30 am north of Georgetown all the way to west of town. This year, will take 16 to I-10 and just hit SA traffic.

When I arrived at the PINS headquarters, they had a real big parking lot. I sat there for awhile, then got the old wanting to move thing. Ran down the road until you hit the beach and all the people, kept going and parked several more miles south waiting and watching for Rogers (blue) dodge. Saw him and had heck catching him going back to the headquarters, but he saw the flashing lights and stopped.
Said just go down the beach about 40 miles, you'll see them. So off I went as Roger went back to the parking lot to wait for the rest of the group.
I found camp, Petey (dog)found me and was very friendly. Others are very nice people (Albert and group).

I'm in Northwest Houston, you're welcome to catch a ride with me, or follow me, whichever is easier. My first trip last year - I took Hwy 59 Southwest to Interstate 37, then down to Corpus. It's quite easy to get to PINS. I have a 4x4 F150 so can haul a fair amount.

Now that sounds like a winner. Takes me @45 minutes to get to the Woodlands down I45. I was planning on going around Houston and hitting Victoria and go to CC that way.

When it gets closer to ETA I'll pm you and we'll see what we can work out, maybe meet somewehere in the middle. Assuming we are both still alive and the world ain't ended. grin

this is a pic of my buddy Rocky's son. he got the hook in his back when he was flipped off the kayak while paddling out a shark bait. he was back fishing a couple of hrs after getting it removed.

Question: Tent/Cot: did you put a sheet of plywood or carpet under the legs for support in the sand Roger?

Will see about finding one that will fit in my Jeep.
Going to put the old wire basket on back this time so I can carry 5 gal of fuel.

Food?
Brought snacks for the group last time, but felt you and several others got nailed for the big cost stuff (meat, lobster, etc)
Where can I help on that end?
Non cold stuff works best for me due to driving distance and lack of space.
