I am wanting to cut an elk silhouette out of a 4x8 plywood sheet or 2. What would be correct sizes for a cut out. Length of elk from chest to butt and belly to back. Probably will take two pieces to make the cut out. Plan on painting it and putting it in the woods behind my house. May even try to cut out the kill area and put an arrow target in place.
I am thinking 6 foot length and 3 foot width. Then add the neck, head and rack.

Will be cheaper than a McKenzie target.

There are no bad days hunting elk, some are just better.

It's a deer instead of an elk but for less than $10 it's a good start with a lot less work.
