Last night we started teaching this year's firearm safety class. this is the first class that I get to teach with my dad (he finally got certified as an instructor last spring). It was kind of weird teaching with the guy who taught me! he was a school teacher when he was younger and he said it brought back a lot of memories. We have 32 kids in our class and luckily this year, we dont have a class clown or the "kid who asks a million questions". Just good kids who want to learn. I gave them 9 minutes for a break and all of them were back in their chairs in 6 minutes! 2 of them came up to me after the class and said they had a lot of fun. that sure makes it rewarding. we have a lot of girls in this class, i love seeing that. when i first started teaching we would have a couple of girls in the class, now it is easily a third or more of the class.

The Sauk was open when we drove by but it looked a little shallow to be launching a boat when I drove by. Well, mine anyway, I'd be OK if we tried yours.

The Wisconsin is open below he DuBay Dam, but still locked up here in Stevens Point.
The Wolf River is starting to open up in the Fremont area.

I might tow it over to WI when I come for turkey hunting. It depends on how long I decide to come over for. I might have a littly guy with me, then it will be a long weekend and probably hunting only.
When is the WI opener?

I remember when I took it in school. There were only 2 of us girls. Checked into permit to carrry classes for me & my dad. Hope to get that done this year.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

I bought an Ithaca model 37 featherweight in 12 gauge today.Older gun from the original Ithaca factory.Good condition.I'm pleased.A check of serial numbers indicates a manufacture date of 1974. Ran across this which takes several hours to see all 29 pages and then days to explore fully if you click on each one. http://freecabinporn.com/Dave particularly will like it. Stan in SC

Stick to the lighter loads Stan. Those old 37's kicked like a mule with the heavy loads.

How much snow did you get Bill? Best guess is around 3", plus a whole bunch of rain. It was a slushy mess this morning. More rain since and now turned back into snow. Northern WI got slammed, I haven't heard the numbers yet as it's still snowing. Looks like the Eastern portion of Hwy 70 was closed this morning between Fifield and Eagle River.
