I just picked up a Ruger .44mag New Model Super Blackhawk
I have kinda big hands ,and the stock grips dont fit what would be a good grip for bear paws

If you don't care much what they look like, try the Pachmeyer Presentation grips. I have semi-large hands and they give me a good grip. They only cost about $25.

I like those, but cannot tell if they are just wider than the factory grips, or do they extend down below the frame so you can fit all four fingers on them?

Who made them?

For the price of his grips I would check if he would make them to your specs.

The Hogue monogrip is kind of an eyesore compared to nice wood, but works well.

Here's another vote for Hogue Monogrips. Put 'em on my 7.5" Redhawk shortly after I got it. Much more comfy and controllable, (at least in my hands), than the wood grips Ruger put on it.

the only stcok grips I have ever liked on a ruger are the ones on my GP100 .357. One more thing I have to do on this Blackhawk is a triger kit and litein it up a bit

To lighten the pull you only need to bend the two trigger spring "arms" upward a bit until the pull is where you want it. That way the spring is still fully intact and captured. That said, properly working the hammer hook depth is the way to a fine trigger.

My S&W M629 came with the Hogue mono grip.
They always worked great for me.

Another $0.02 cents worth for the Pachmeyer Presentation grips.

My best impressions from the Presentation grips is how have they place the bird-finger at a more consistent , proper position below be trigger guard.

Big mittens seem to find home better, as it works for me.
