Great groups. What am i missing on the 6-6.5RM? shouldnt you be getting a lot more than 3100 with the 75 vmax? A standard 243 would handily top that. Sure i am missing something though

Ahh. Since i am not a reloader, that would make a lot more sense.

I have always thought the 6mm saum or 6-6.5RM would make a really cool wildcat cartridge

sorry guys AA3100 is the right answer.
also they are both accurate with H414 VV165 & H4831
I have not chronographed them yet but both are right at
4000 fps or more.
What ever I load in one works in the other also.
Twin calibers but had no idea when I built them.
The next 2 I am going to build is another set of twins they are
25-6.5 rem mag & 25-06 Ackley 87 grainers at 3920 fps.
my 6.5 WSM is a fast one too plus my 22-243 Ackley put 20 shots in a .500 group with 40 grain balistic tips and its from a E R Shaw 26" 14 twist varmit barrel.

50 yards is as far as I can shoot out of reloading room window
but it sure is handy in the winter shooting from a warm room.

Good shooting. However, everyone I talk to has a one-hole factory gun shooting them off the hood of the truck. Always makes me feel like I have wasted some money on customs. Does look like you got some good ones.

What MVs are you getting with that AI 85NPT 63/R22 load?

I wouldnt have thought you could make it over 60 in that case w/ 85s.

Still getting my std 6-06 figured out.

Thanks,

loder

Lassie , there was a 6/ 6.5 Mag . many years ago . It was called the 6 PBM , and was written up in a Magazine . I think it was in Precision Shooting . The reason I remember it ....was that I used the Published Data on it as well as a few other Long Range Wildcats and asked a friend to do some Computing with his new Ballistics Calculator . I was looking for a long range Varmint Cartridge but did not want to burn 100 Grains of Powder . The 6 PBM was right up near the top of the List out to 1000 Yards ( maybe in the top 3 ). I always have a problem with my filing system and memory , but if I find any Data , I will Post it .

these targets were shot at 50 yards.
so far I have got 4 loadings on the brass and primer pockets are still tight.
I have not chronographed these loads yet but should be 4000 fps or more.
will get picture of remington 6-6.5 mag with barrel nut & 6-06 ackley soon.
the 25-06 ackley 4831 54.0 grains gets 3920 fps.
