A friend just texted me asking where to order ammo from online. He is mostly interested in defensive handgun ammo, and plinking rounds. Where have you found the best variety and prices at online?

Another Plus 1 for ammotogo. I had not ordered form Cheaper than dirt in a long while but my budies at the Kel Tech owners group adivised me that they had my favorite 22WMR ammo on hand (Hornaday 45gr Critical Defense) so I ordered it up ans sure enough, got here pretty quickly.

Midway is usuaally a good place to look, great selection and in stock with nearly everything. 1-800-243-3220.

Easy to find great deals on 9mm, 45ACP 38 Special and 40S&W. My 10mm Auto stuff, not nearly as easy.

I just looked at ammoengine, and it wanted me to pay FORTY FOUR DOLLARS A BOX for CCI Blazer 10mm auto ammo. That stuff goes for $20-25.00 a box all day long. They were CRAZY high all up and down the board. I suspect that they are a paid shill for a couple of ammo providers as I did not see any of the usual cheap suppliers on thier list.

Found some pretty good deals here before dabbling with loading.

SportsmansGuide is pretty good, and big selection. I found some shotgun shells there a couple of years ago that most other sellers didn't have.

Georgia-arms.com can have some good prices on both new and reloaded ammo. Back when I was looking for some .41 Mag ammo they had by far the best price around. Haven't checked lately, though.
With Georgia-arms, call to check availability before you order though. It doesn't necessarily indicate on their website, and some items can be hard to get.
