Well, the weather is hot and so is the fishing. There are a lot of fish by the new fish attractors and a lot of them are big fish. The biggest fish I have taken came off the attractor by Granada. The fish attractor just south of Browns Point is also a great place. Open water in front of South Steer is also hot. Early morning fish are hitting top water baits and flukes. Also Carolina rigs and of course they are eating shiners up.

The water is still dropping and the bigger fish are moving to the outside grass lines. Real good spots are where ever you see cuts that lead to the inside shallow water. The locks are still open a foot and a half and Southport Canal has still been producing fish. Crank baits have worked well in the fire tiger color.

It is warming up so remember to use sun protectant. Have fun, don't get to much sun.
See ya next week,
