After reading some posts here I went to Greybeards and apparently they have been hacked by someone calling themselves The Turkish Hacker or something. Hope this site is safe. Who knows who would want to shut down gun/hunting sites. Lots of wackos out there!

They got the GoGoVarmintGo board a couple of weeks ago, it's up and running again.

If we could shut down the tofu factories, the peta weenies would be to weak to hijack our website. And a ban on hemp clothing could freeze them out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

I believe this isn't the first time greybeards has been hacked. It seems like he has this problem quite often.

I have never actually visited or participated on his site but I have read posts from some who have. He is apparently an overbearing insufferable tyrant. He has enemies. They probably retaliated.

There is another small site with a small membership which I did visit but is was haunted by some really sour, ill tempered, squirrely bad actors. And moderators there were sanctimonious jack booted totalitarian extremist hypocrites. Losing members. Very low activity. Not surprised. Yuck !!!! They need to be hacked. It was a gigantic waste of time to even bother with

I hate to admit it but this site is a Sunday school picnic comparatively.

Sorry to hear that. The name sounds familiar but I haven't been there is probably two years. Here and accuratereloading are the only two forums I visit, and haven't really looked at AR for a month or more.

I like this place - we get a few sparks flying up every now and then but compared to a lot of other forums the Campfire is real civilized.

This is the crowd I love..........

I really like this site seems like alot of honest guys who post here which makes it fun. I did post on this site about one member who post here by the name of lawdag gary from nothern california he is a moderator on greybeard and if you post something over there he doesn't like or agree with watch out. Him and acouple of other moderators got on accuratereloading and had a field day call members all kind of names if they didn't agree with them on how wrong it is for western state to control their hunting rights and fee's for non residents. When I see lawdag gary's name on any site I always let people know that he is a moderator on that site. If you follow any of his post he always highlights any point he want to make kind of his trademark. Just my .02

roper is a troll that has been laughed off every board. He seems to think being a Moderator is some kind of big honor and one should include that in one's signature. I have never hid the fact that I am a Moderator for a couple of forums on Graybeard Outdoors. Nor can roper back up his statement of;

and I now challenge him to back up this statement by posting the thread urls where this ever happened. So you are again challenged to back up another one of your rants. Or, as you have done on every other forum, duck your tail and change your name, AGAIN. As for;

Anyone that knows me knows I don't sign off that way very often. I challenge you to prove that I do this all the time.

By the way this is the first time since I have been on Graybeard Outdoors since Shooters.com closed that they have been hacked. Graybeards is back up and running. Lawdog

I'd appreciate it if you'd go over the GB's and make a post that we're up and running over here, too.

Sorry to hear about ANYBODY's site getting hit........ya' picks yer crowd, and takes yer chances...........I had to learn about computers, after last year's " Big D"...( and I don't mean Dallas)..................was a funny niche, being a writer, and not knowing how to work with a word proccessor, or spell.The ex was always there to de-bug my hand printed gibberish. Must say that these keyboards are pretty cool,........and the latest devolution, digital photography......damned exciting, whole new world.

Two choices presented themselves...learn by doing typing excercises.....or jump into the fray,, and participate in good honest dialogue, with like minded folk. Finding this site was a Godsend, and a good place to learn the ropes ,interactively.........The BPCR.net site was a hoot. Some SOB struck that Forums section, with " Trojan Downloader Virus", and it's been down for quite a bit.

IF, this site were to be hit...............Well, I can tie a prettier 13 wrap noose, in seasoned hemp than most. Own a crane , too, so portable lynching is not a problem. 10" grouping, at 1000yd .........doable, when time is just to short for a hanging.

Be advised hackers, theres no hill to high, or hole deep enough.....................don't even think about it.

Really love this site, and you fine folks..............

GTC

Consider it done. As a matter of fact many a time I have told posters over at Graybeard's about some special topic being discussed over here. Of the time I spent on-line outdoor forums, most of it is spent at Graybeards and here. I visit the Air Gun forum at Accurate Reloading and Hunt America. We need a good Air Gun forum here. Lawdog
