Pretty plain that either someone who didn't know what he was doing messed with the animal's trigger or didn't keep it clean.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

Last friday we ran (I'm a fireman) on a 9 y/o girl who had her face ripped open from the right side of her mouth to her right ear by a pit. As we were leaving and walking by PD who were speaking to the owners of the dog, the woman asked "What are yall gonna do about that girl getting in my dogs face". I wanted to punch that b#*ch.

Its in their breeding to fight dogs, not people. The problem is, most are too stupid to know the difference.

Pit bulls. Kinda like keeping nitroglycerin for a pet; extremely diligent ownership can keep problems at bay, but when problems do occur...

same goes for rottweilers. i think most people who own aggressive dogs are making up for a small pecker. btw, i own a beagle.

Seems to me "pitbull" has become an inflammatory word, much like "automatic weapon".
Could be a half boxer, beagle, pointer mutt and it's cute till it bites someone. Then the news reports a "pit bull type dog" mauled someone. Makes for good copy. Gets the emotions going for all the ladies.
Most "pits" are mutts anyway. Few truly breed to form and function an actual pitbull. Ghetto rats ain't into pedigrees and such.

I bear a solitary dog bite scar-compliments of a beagle.
I know you have a pit, stx and I'm aware that there are many good dogs and owners of the breed out there such as yourself. I'm not a rabid anti-pit guy, but I do find it hard to ignore these stories that seem all too common.

I'll be the first to admit pits are dangerous. thats why i never had one when my kids we're small, the problem with pits is they do much more damage than most dogs when they do bite. if my dog had gone after my dad the way his beagle did it would of been much worse. my dog has been very docile so far, he's almost 2. he doesn't bother the 7 cats we have or my dads beagles. i have to watch the beagles because one of them will try and attack Petey, which would end up bad for the beagle if Petey decided to jump on him.

we have 2 Airedales, they, because of there size and generally friendly temperment are good to have around BUT if they take a dislike to you or some other dog or bear they will fight . That's why they only around people they know and never will a child see them unless leashed and under full control of my wife or self.

I took my Dog to the dog park over the weekend, there was a little yorkie that was hung like a horse, it was impressive.
Jed York does not own the 49ers; Russell Wilson does.
