Guess this is a one caliber question. Would the 30 06 do it? With a sabot for coyote.

Of course it would. If you reload, Nosler makes a 125g BT that would be killer on coyotes. If not, get the cheapest 150g loading you can find and go whack some 'yotes.

yep.....if you dont care about saving the hide it doesnt matter......most the time would rather buy a high grade hide off a trapper than skin most the yotes i shoot....for whatever reason i always wind up shooting the rough looking SOB's anyway...

260.

Can load 100's for yotes, and 130-140 for elk.

100's at 3000fps+ would lay down the dogs.

It's not the headstamp it's bullet placement. As long as you place the bullet where it needs to be, the answer to your ? Is IMO 243 to 700 nitro. Its what ever you are the most accurate with.

an elk is a big target . coyote is small and challenging. a VERY accurate 30-06 is great for both.

After reading the .223 for elk thread, you could almost say anything that will kill a coyote will kill an elk.

I would say an 06 or any of it's spin off's should work great.
