Dad's last was a Lite Hunter, I think thats what mine will be this fall.

I also have one of the B&T's (#4 maybe?) that is very similar in size/shape, like it a lot.

The H235 that has been posted recently looks good as well.

if you have a light hunter then I would get something thin/ boning sort of like a B&T #4 or a Chukar, slim, etc or would go the exact opposite and go with something with some belly like a skinner... obviously the skinner/ hunter package is a "drop combo" which you could certainly ask Gene to make you a dual pouch for a little extra $$.

I would ask Gene for his suggestion - he knows his blades better than most.

#1 Semi is you want a handy skinner

H325, #1 B&T, #2 B&T, Slim, Chukar if you want another slim blade, but it sounds like you're good there with the Lite Hunter and B&T...one of these will be in my next batch from Mr. Ingram.

The Lite Hunter and H325 have identical blade profiles/dimensions. Only the handles are different.

If you want a skinner I like my Bullnose Skinner. You could go with a #2 Semi if you want it smaller. Or else maybe get a #4 B&T. #7 DP is a classic do-all knife. I'm also really liking Gene's Semispear, for some reason.

Talk to the man and tell him your intentions. He will not steer you wrong. Gene is not only an excellent craftsman, he has a pretty good idea of which models of his blades will work best for your intended application.

I know you've already made your choice, and a good one. For others wondering what to do this is solid advice. Last one I ordered I was indecisive but had a few ideas. He asked me a few questions, and made a few suggestions. Then he made me a knife I didn't know I wanted and now wouldn't do without.

I have a bit of experience with Gene's stuff. I tried to like the Bullnose, but it was just too much butcher knife and not enough utility. I'd suggest a semi-skinner matched to your Litehunter...
