The last one I owned was a decent shooter but not that good. It was a 580 series too.

I'm tempted to try one of the new one's. They sure feel good in the hand and are reputed to do pretty well on average. The one I bought in '99 or so, a stainless RR, was terrible in the accuracy department and therefore not interesting.
Wish they cost less. If I'm gonna spend ~$700 on a semi-auto .233 it's much more likely to be another AR.
The CENTER will hold.

This post is useless without pictures.
But good to hear there might be a good shooting mini out there. Better tell him to hang on to that one.

Apparently the French Police like them. It's gonna be tough to shoot when both of his hands are occupied like that.

That man was probably protecting those Jews from from the new radical muslum population over there. The French surrender jokes are funny but he has my utmost respect.

Terry Correct, I saw this photo in a news story about those events right after reading this thread and found it interesting that the French Police would carry this rifle. It was not meant to disrespect the French any way. I have trained with and served alongside French Soldiers in Combat and they have my respect. They should not be ridiculed based on the decisions of their politicians any more than our soldiers for our politicians decisions.

I had a good one in the early 90's - don't remember if it was a 180 series, or later, but it would easily do an inch 5 shot groups at 100 yards, with good handloads. I wasn't smart enough to keep it

too funny..one radio to talk into and the other to listen... One of those is for yelling "retreat" into, the other is for hearing the command.

Never fired, only dropped once. Viking, I posted the same statement before I read yours. Seems we're on the same wavelength... Now, here's a Ranch Rifle that shoots. DF

lotta money there in a mini... sows ear/silk purse, but I've seen it done before too.
Never get your money back though. My friend never did and while it shot, our ARs still shot circles around it..

I have two custom AR's and this thing will give them a run for the roses.
One of my favorite hog killing loads is with the Sierra 65 gr. Gameking. Those bullets will shoot sub inch in this gun.
I like the way it feels and handles more than AR's.
DF
Edited to add it's usually hard to get one's money back on most custom guns. I like this one so much, I have no desire to sell it. So, that's a non-issue in this case.
