Do you know if a 1-14 223 AI has anything over a 1-14 222 Mag?

Duh!!!
Mag length constraints alone should tell you that.Seat a 90 grain Sierra Match King out to kiss find pressure and watch them keyhole.

I don't do "Mag Mods" so COL is Mag Length...and a 1 in 12 .223AI is the shizz.... grin

Maybe he could explain why a 7/08 v. a 358 Winny has real differences on deer on not just "spectacle".....

That'd be really easy.

If he was as much a fountain of knowledge as he thinks he is I'd see the utility. Truth is, it's not like he is.

I bought TWO skinny-barrel 7-08's well over a decade ago. Why? Because a mentor, who is NOT a giant ego-filled balloon, steered me right. He's a member here and has probably owned as many guns as Big Balloon, built as many rifles... but you won't see hum thumping his chest and proclaiming himself Lord God of All Things Guns.

And you know what else? There's thousands more just like my buddy out there. Probably tens of thousands.

Anyway, I kind of like Stick and in my gentle way, am trying to help the guy out.

Nosler is "worried" about a 1-8" 223 or 22-250 "blowing up",as well as a 1-9" 243? Jesus Christ that's [bleep] stupid enough, that I'd not be surprised to learn that Jeff-O PM'd you that "information". How the hell do you shift your brain into a low enough [bleep] gear,to dream schit like that up? PLEASE call them and get the "blow up" particulars! Laffin'!

Few things better than a Texan trying to talk rifles. Let's hope now, that you are dumb enough to say something in the firsthand regarding your 1-8" and 1-14" 22-250's and rest assured that I'm braced for the long and awkward [bleep] silence that is to follow. Your Imagination is taking you to places that don't exist, though it's funnier than [bleep],that you Pretend that they do.

Wow.

Fair 'nuff, I'll rephrase what I didn't phrase so well earlier. All other factors being equal, how much pressure difference is there going from 1:14 to 1:8 ?

You're the cryptic one, and this is hardly a good-faith conversation on your part.

Since you bring it up, what's your evidence to the contrary? You make a good-faith effort, I'll reciprocate.

But I'm sick as a dog, we have been here before, and I'm not real inclined to go out of my way to answer a specious "question" on your part.

Unless, of course, you present your evidence to the contrary. Numbers, bullet types, ranges. Etc. I won't hold my breath.

Now off to go hork up another lunger.

My evidence to the contrary is a few hundred dead critters, at extremes of the spectrum, call it .222 diameter bullets to .72 projectiles on deer size critters, speeds from 850 to 3,350 fps, ranges from breath smelling to past 400 yds., projectile from pure lead to solid mono.
If you want to hone it down to .074in and 850 fps diff, expanding rifle bullets then go to town...

"Cryptic" and "good faith" platitudes sounds like a lot of horschit excuse making and lack of experience; never said your experiences amounted to nothing, but declaring prominence to the notion is more than suspect. Trust me, in 25 years I've shot more deer with a just a 72 caliber alone than you ever have with a 7mm or 35 combined and I'm pretty limited in experience to most.

Maybe you should tell JB about the differences you've seen in your piles of critters. I just ain't no competition.......

It'd be tough for me to pick a favorite Quote,if only because Stupidity is the gift that keeps on giving and this Thread is a literal Treasure Trove of Dumbphucktitude.

Windows are getting licked with reckless abandon and that oblivious humor is tough to top.

28',

Tell them to stick the CM spout in their ass too.

Just sayin'.

'we,

Fling a 75A-Max and get back to me.

Hint.

Shefire,

No need to reiterate the incredible number of things beyond your comprehension...just keep refraining all things the rifle,if only because you know [bleep] better.

Nor is there a need to polish your Whine,as it is without peer, but feel free to fuel your Imagination and Pretend,if only to salve your realities.

I like the way you stomp your feet, hold your breathe and cry...you rough and tumble whining bitch! This Thread needs more Hissy Fit and few are better equipped than you to deliver.

Bless your heart.

Jeff-O,

MUCH enjoying that it's always your "buddy" that does things, yet you remain mired in your perpetual dumbphucktitude of Do-Nothingness,cranking out Pretend just as fast as your Imagination can "work". Not that it ain't funnier than [bleep].

Wow.

Hawk,

22PPC COAL advantages, would do very nice things to Vixen mag confines and a fast twisted spout. Thinking about a 1-8" 22BR on my Jap Varmintmaster, for like reason(s).

[Linked Image]

1-14" anythings,is easy to pass upon and I'm with ya' there.

tex',

Enjoying that you were first telling me schit and now you are asking [bleep] questions. You're learnin'.

I guess you really don't shoot nearly as much as your Imagination allowed you to Pretend?!!? Might have something to do with the correlation of no lightweight Ping Pong Ball BC'd Factory Fodder being marked: "DO NOT fire in a fast twist,or the [bleep] thing will blow up!".

Laffin'!
