I follow my nose.

I am my own Leader and trust in myself and not the Government to make decisions that effect my life and my family.

Can't say I have a leader. Certainly not a political figure!

most of the time I try and follow what I believe God would have me do, take care of my family, both financially and physically, try and treat my fellow man with fairness and respect.


but once in awhile I veer off the trail, mostly due to anger and a low tolerance for stupid people, especially those that are stupid about our Constitution and the role it's played recognizing liberty per the individual that thusly created the greatest nation the planet has ever seen.


those folks that want to turn that nation into a socialist experiment much like we've seen in Europe are the enemy of my children's future. So I hate em.

I know the good Lord probably frowns on hating, but hey I'm a work in progress.

I make sure and read everything you say on here and then follow that. If your caregiver for some reason won't let you post that day, you know, like if the institution didn't pay the ISP or maybe you got your privileges taken away for grabbing at the goat again when you had your outdoor pass, I do the next best thing and just curl up in a corner in a fetal position and suck my thumb while going to my happy place.

I think that where there's potential for friction is where a relatively pure political philosophy, like you stated, meets the reality of a maturing nation of 300 million people. I will agree 100% that our government is grossly bloated, and I will agree that democratic socialism is inefficient and encourages said .gov bloat.

Where I find myself differing with some here is the notion that, say, pure free-market capitalism (never mentioned in the Constitution BTW) will magically solve, or even just best manage, SOME of the types of problems that a maturing nation faces. By that I mean, a nation that has extracted much of the "easy" resources, built cities in the obvious places, lacks a frontier, has degraded living resources such as timber and fisheries, etc. I do think there's a place for government in the management of such things. And that lets the camel into the tent, I can't argue that point.
