My dad has a scope mouont like that on a Marlin. Looks different put it feels real good when " throwing" it up. Looks a little funky on a Savage though. Personally I think all 99s look wierd with scopes on them. billy.

Look at this weaver I got off of ebay. biggest scope I own. picked it up for ony 90 bucks! I think it looks cool. Hehehe

Hunting with or without a scope is not the issue, nor is having what you perceive to be "good" eye sight. (I hunt with an iron-sighted muzzleloader, shoot occasional military benchrest matches, and an quite familiar with the capabilities -- and limitations -- of iron sights.)

It's reading your friggin' immature posts where you dispense "wisdom" based upon your sixteen-year-old-know-it-all attitude that's getting old. Fast.

There's not much hunting knowledge you're going to impart to me or anyone else in this forum on much of anything. If you want to discuss Savages, then let's get to it. Sir, I am a 30 year old adult. I also know I don't know everything about 99s, but who does. But it is LOUD MOUTHED BLOWHARDS like yourself that think they know every damn thing that really piss me off. Things were much better here before you and you half fro showed up. Johnny is obviously an intelligent, knowledgable well-educated man, but all of us here "get along" by being gentlemen and by not "bashing" other members who might say something with which we don't agree.

Johnny, as 'most EVERYONE here will tell you... I have rarely ever entered into verbal, negative comments or "discussions"... but in this case, I feel compelled to "say-it-as-it-is" before this blossoms into a major battle.

Your knowledgable comments are very welcomed in this Forum, but PLEASE refrain from "bashing" others' comments and/or making personal attacks... something you have done numerous times for seemingly no real or "valuable" reason.

While others may prefer to NOT confront you... they still "think" the same things whether they confront you or not... and I'm sure you'd rather that your posts be "welcomed"... and you remain a valued "friend" and member of this Forum.

And so, Johnny... please lose the "attitude"... and be a "friend" together WITH us, not a "combatant" looking for someone with whom to do verbal "battle".
