Come to Colorado

Don't mind if I do! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I've been considering Colorado for awhile actually. I'll be doing some scouting there soon, maybe paying a visit to the Elk Mountain resort (and shooting club <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> )

I wish I could start packing today (in more ways than one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />)

Go on up to Paradise. The boys will be happy to show you 'round, esp. after Steelhead makes it back up there.

Don't need one in AK... or Vermont, for that matter.

Easy to one in CO, though. And other places.

Yep, apply, pay registration fee, generally 100.00 and about a week later you are a card carrying weapons holder, assuming that you took the handgun classes or are a certified instructor. If you have just gotten out of the Military or had in the last 5 years, you can waive the handgun Orientation portion. Les

$100?

Man, our's is capped at a max of $50; most places (sheriff's office gets the $$$) are $35 or so.

About one week turn around; same, same for weapons orientation waiver. Oh, and the "Hunters Safety course" (yeah, that one) counts as qualification for weapons proficiency.

It don't get much easier; unless it ain't required at all.

Consider NM. We have lots of game, CCW, warm weather....and green chile too. I am originally from San Francisco...left 21 years ago (thank you US Army) and will never go back. After this, never even to visit.

Not all people in Kali are left wing idiots. In fact not all people in the Bay Area are left wing idiots. The problem is in a place like SF the "normal" people are out numbered in a big way, and will never be able to win at the polls.

This state is full of down to earth outdoors men and women who responsibly enjoy the shooting and outdoor sports. So dont look at one small snap shot of the state and condem alot of good down to earth people along with all the morons.

When asked where I'm from Im sure to say "Northeastern California" Its like a whole different state, almost like being in Nevada.

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, one of the big promoters/backers of Proposition H, was on the news early this morning admitting that Proposition H wouldnt help the cut the handgun violence that is pledging the city one bit. He stated that the main reason they introduced Proposition H was that other cities across the nation could copy San Francisco. While on he on telling the reporter this he was informed that the NRA was going to be filing suit to stop the implementation of Proposition H on the grounds that cities do not have the authority to regulate firearms under California law. After being told this Mayor Gavin Newsom admitted that there was the likelihood that Proposition H may never get implemented. The fat lady hasnt sung on this one yet. Lawdog

Yeah, Colorado is great. If you get lucky you can find a trailer in a trailer park for around $200k. This state is a real bargain. Not to mention they just passed the largest tax increase in state history. But...it is still better than Kalifornia.

Maybe, but I prefer to have the option of pumping my own gas...
WA may be nice, I've seen some nice pictures of it anyway. <Hi Houndgirl! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />>

So, SanFagCity may have gun laws that are even worse than those we have in "socialist" Canada, eh?????

I am not particularly surprised, most of the people I have met from there have impressed me as being about two logs short of a full load. The problem is dope, perverts, "multiculturalism", non-traditional immigration, permissiveness and the welfare state mentality...........geez, sounds just like Vancouver, where I live!!!!

Maybe AIDS is a blessing in disguise????

The best part about AIDS is we waste millions of dollars on finding a cure for it, but it is 100% preventable, unlike Cancer, MS etc.
