The top one is a 35 Whelen, bone stock except for the pad (not cut, original pad, rings, lock and papers included in original box) In other words ANIB. The second is a very custom 458 Winchester, All the wood is new. The barrel is a 24" heavyweight that "hangs" like a target rifle. Whole gun has a high quality rust blue, polished breechblock and custom trigger. Some one spent a lot of money having this exceptional custom built. As usual, good guns and good guys here !
Hey NSAQAM, Larry is very "IN", LOL You also dishonor the 28th division by using the unit patch as an insult. As for the liar, welcher Bricktop, his day is fast approaching. Coward trolls won't accept PMs. How's the phantom "campfire" coming ?

So..."As new in box" includes a scratched up receiver, altered front sight and aftermarket recoil pad? That is news to me... Hey guys, Finally got around to reposting my Whelen. Someone really needs to give this a good home. Light scratch on left of receiver otherwise great shape. I did bevel the front bead back. Original box with rings. 1 of 500 made. $800 to your dealer. (+$25 if needed from FFL) Still willing to trade for No.1 RSI in 7x57.

Sorry you couldn't afford it.
Guess you don't see too many #1s in your travels eh ?
Front sight is Ruger, pad will come off and original (supplied, read the post dolt) will go right on. As far as the scratch goes, it's typical of NIB #1s caused by the crappy way they pack them since Bill passed.
I own it, you don't, so if you can't be nice just STFU you inbred redneck, swamp sucking, dickbrain.

As usual, good guns and good guys here ! And to whom should we thank for this magnanamous gesture?
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

Not in factory "ANIB" condition: the front bead has been filed at an angle As far as the scratch goes, it's typical of NIB #1s caused by the crappy way they pack them since Bill passed.
Not quite. Evidently you can't read either because the seller you purchased from states the scratches came from his friend...not the factory packaging that you want to blame. Your reading comprehension must suck too...that's probably why your books are getting such negative reviews on Amazon... Has slight scratches on left side of receiver (note-don't lend your nice rifles to non-loony friends!) You're right...I don't own it. Don't get mad at me because you paid ANIB prices for a scratched up, modified rifle that you are trying to pawn off as "LIKE NEW". if you can't be nice just STFU you inbred redneck, swamp sucking, dickbrain.
Like you are such a stellar and shining example of courteous behavior? You must resort to cussing and name calling in the posts when you can't PM the member you're mad at. I guess that whole "Ignore" feature must piss you off... Details provided by the seller: Sigh...figured I give you guys a chance at this before going on Gunbroker or the local shop. If this was a 1S contour I'd probably keep it but...it isn't. Used, but nice condition, Ruger 1A in .35 Whelen. 1 of 500 made for Lipseys. Very good condition. Has slight scratches on left side of receiver (note-don't lend your nice rifles to non-loony friends!) and the front bead has been filed at an angle. Trigger pull is (guessing) about 4 lbs and crisp. I have the original box with everything and it comes with Ruger Low rings. She has a Limbsaver pad on and the original Ruger 'pad' comes in the box. I've put between 400-500 rounds through her...she really likes the Hornady 250 SP. Only trades I'm interested in are a Ruger No.1 RSI in 7x57 or possibly a Ruger African in 9.3x62. $850 shipped (+25 if needed from a FFL) I also have dies and assorted brass and bullets as follow: RCBS FL die set .35 Whelen threaded case for LNL OAL gauge .35 cal insert for the LNL oal gauge REM Brass: 49 new, 4 once fired, and 20 new loaded up with 54.0 gr RL15 and Hornady 250 SP and Speer 250 HC Sierra 225 GK - 25 Speer 250 HC - 35 Barnes 225 TSX - 30 I'll sell all the reloading components for $105 shipped or $75 with the rifle. PM me for any questions, etc. This is my first time selling a gun online but I've been on Ebay for quite a while (FWIW). Thanks.

400-500 rounds through it certainly qualifies it for "as new in box" too...
I have the disgusting fellow on ignore, but I see from the quotes above he's up to his old egotistical games.

Probably try to sell it on Auction Arms ANIB too.

That is a pretty nice Whelan, but LNIB? That wasn't terribly smart of the OP to make that claim.

Just got another PM from Larry and he says he wasn't lying about the 35 Whelen being ANIB because, and get this, he bought it the second time MojoHand listed it and not the first time he listed it! This guy is nuttier than squirrel crap.

I was certainly satisfied with that reasonable explanation!

Whooee!
The chit certainly can fly around here. I understand that a lot of the guys here have problems with Larry and I really didn't know what to expect when I found out he was the one buying my rifle.
Why some should give a rat's ass about how a buyer (as opposed to seller) chooses to describe his purchases is beyond me. However, I can honestly say dealing with Larry was a complete pleasure. Good, polite communication with prompt payment and FFL info. I know it was only one deal, but on my end Larry rates a A+ for doing business with.
As a side note the scratches on the receiver were lighter than the flash made them look on the photo.
Anyway, nice rifles Larry--both of 'em!
PS--War Eagle, he paid a lot less than ANIB price for the Whelen.

MojoHand, save yourself the abuse from the "Troll Patrol". If they find a hair on your head out of place they will rag on you forever as that is the only thing in their empty lives.
You'll note they spend most of their efforts in supporting a serial liar (Bricktop) and making empty threats. You'll also note that, with the exception of Boxer, they never show displays of their huge collections ...... just crap on everyone elses.
All four of the No. 1s I have bought from other members on this site are very nice rifles and the sellers were all gentlemen. These trolls are not gentlemen, they are just keyboard commandos who are still trying to regain their former control of the site. They are still "fighting the last war" being too dense to realize their day in the sun is over.
Sad little cowards who would never act like such vindictive dolts in a FTF situation. That's why they love the Internet as they THINK it gives them anoniminity but, as Kennyboy, the chief troll, found out it does not.
I suggest you just do your business here and when you see one of these jerks pirating your thread or attacking you, just put him on Ignore and use the PM function or go "offsite" via email to conduct your business.
Thank you again for a fair deal on a nice rifle.
best to you & yours, Larry
