Fist, let me say that the illuminated FL 4-16 and 6-24 stay exactly the same. Nothing changes with these scopes.
Regarding the other illuminated 4 scopes listed in the above post, all will be replaced with the Victory HT. The HT scopes will come in 2 reticle designs, our classic #60 and a new reticle #54. Images can be found on our website this Friday.
I'm no engineer, so my optical explanation is probably a little rough, but... The illumination system is new "Zeiss Exclusive" micro-fiber technology, with a dot 60% smaller that our nearest competitor. we are taking a microfiber optical tube (1/4 the thickness of a human hair) and cutting it at a 45% angle, and polishing the surface to transmit light. We then attach the micro-fiber to a reticle post so the polished surface is positioned in the center of the reticle and it faces the shooter, then we pump light into the bottom of the tube with some kind of illumination. It's really cutting edge technology and it creates the brightest, finest dot in the industry. Illumination intensity is adjustable, and it has an "auto off" after 4 hours of non use.
Hope this helps.
