Considering Nikon Gold 2.5x10x50 with Leupold LPS 2.5x10x45. Anyone looked through these two scopes or used them? Both are top of the line for that company. Would be mounted on a tikka 7mm mag and used for target and coyotes on up to elk.

I have owned both of those optics, if your after asthetics, then the answer is Leupold all the way, it might be the absolute most stunning looking scope on the market. It fits really well on short as well long actions. Now if the concern is over the optics then for my money I`d go Nikon. Although I had the 50mm version but decided to go 56 and own 3 of the 2.5-10x56 and all have the G4 reticle. These are large heavy optics though, so a trade off to me is the Zeiss Conquest, better optics than Leupold, lighter than the Nikon Gold. Looks good on the outside too. I will be in the woods this fall with the Nikon Gold
