Is the action inletting the same between PF and CRF M70s (not necessarily pre-'64s)? I see lots of PF rifles pretty cheap, and was thinking of a relatively small bore build on one... something like a 6mm-06, .25-06, 6.5-06. Screw on a new barrel, and maybe dump the action into a take-off Sporter or Supergrade stock...

One piece floorplate vs. two piece floorplate are two inlets There is a difference in floor plate inletting for the latest version with the 1 piece fp. I think there is also a very slight difference for the new trigger....but I think the original question was related to the push feed vs CRF actions...the action has the same inlet...floor plate and trigger may differ.

New Haven push feed and CRF with 2 piece bottom metal= same stock. 1 piece started in 2003= different stock. FN 70's= different from either.
