Who knows about these two scopes and what is the advantage of going with the Viper over the Diamondback for western hunting.

Glass better? Coatings? Features? I do like good glass but if they are as good as others have said I feel why spend the money.

I plan on using this scope on a Winchester .270 WSM for mule deer. Looking at the 4x12 models.

Better optics, and IME, better reliability and stability of adjustments.

That's kinda what I thought. I just was looking for a real world comparison if somebody had one. I found the differences between the Leupold VX 3 and VX 2 were livable but definitely different and was looking for a comparison between the two Diamondback and Viper.

Thanks

My comments are based on real-world experience. I think you'll find the difference between the Diamondback and Viper similar to the difference you saw between the VX2 and VX3.

I've had both...Jordan nailed it. Both are good scopes, either will get'er done although I sold the Diamondback and still have four Vipers....

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
