With the focus of today on the war in Iraq it has been quite awhile since I have seen his name on the news or in print.Have we forgotten that he's the man responsible for 9/11/01.Had it not been for 9/11 I doubt with all my heart that we would be in Irag.I think I'm on solid ground in saying there are some Americans out there who don't know who he is and even worse there are some who don't care.If it were not for bin laden most of us would not have heard of Afganistan and Iraq or know where they are.It has been a pretty damn expensive geography lesson in lives and dollars.

You may never hear of him again. Occassionally some really good stuff floats down the line from some friends. Some things make total sense too. Ya know if we never hear from him again could be a reason.

Good chance he's dead already. It's not like him to be so "silent".

I think Usama may already be taking the big dirt nap, its just been too damn quite out of his camp. With all the hubub surrounding the elections in Iraq et cetera he's missed a lot of prime opportunities to play the great warrior against the infidels in the world media. It's not likely that his ego would allow this for so long.

If he is still amongst the living, I suspect he is deeply rooted in somewhere like Pakistan or with our good friends the Iranians with the understanding that his sanctuary lasts only as long as he is incognito. If this be the case, I'm afraid "political considerations" by the skunks in Washington will keep him safe and sound for some time to come.

He's too good a stalking horse-boogeyman for them to even WANT to catch him, it wouldn't suit the agenda of the goobers in DC. If they caught him, they couldn't spend money like the drunken whores they are. Nope, they don't want to catch him.

Hmm. He's what, 6 foot 6 inches or something and in need of frequent dialysis? Pretty hard to blend in so he's dug in deep like a bug in a rug or he's a corpse already.

Bin Laden's had 30 years to prepare a retreat of last resort, and he ain't nobody's fool. He KNEW what he was undertaking. I also have a notion that he may already be dead, and that may be the reason Zarquari's getting bolder and more prominent. It WOULD explain a lot.

Still, sorta' like Yogi said, we won't know until we KNOW, and that time ain't come yet. This war isn't with Osama anyway. He's just a figurehead. It's against an idea - Islamofascism - and despite the fact that it's been said that you "can't make war on an idea," you CAN make a reasonable and valiant effort to ensure that those fold NEVER attain Power in a state capable of starting the WWIII that we THOUGHT would be the result of the Russians.

We're in the middle east to eliminate a threat, a REAL threat, pure and simple, that not ONLY was 9/11 but a whole series of lesser offenses for THIRTY YEARS - a string of events that surely won't stop unless and until Islamofascism is defeated ideologically in its own front yard.

THAT is why we're in the middle east in Afghanistan and Iraq. WMD's were a CONCERN, but not necessarily the REASON we're there.

Funny, but I have the great sense to the point of surety that the very same folks who are now criticizing Bush, and saying "Bush lied, soldiers died," would be blaming him if he HADN'T gone into Iraq! Ain't it funny how that works???? No matter WHAT Bush does, it's inevitably going to be opposed by the Dems. The leadership of the Dem party, and its minions in the media, will literally say and do ANYTHING, and sacrifice ANYTHING, up to and including the nation itself, just to regain the reins of Power.

It's absolutely disgusting in the EXTREME!

We can fight Islamofascism either now, and we're learning to do this better & better every day, though it DOES cost lives it's true, OR we can wait until they have nukes that Bush's detractors SAID they had initially, and let our kids and our kids' kids fight them and get nuked. What a choice!

Lemme see now, how to decide ..... ???? DUH!!!

Freedom isn't free. Never was. Never WILL be. Ours or anyone's. With 5,000 years of various types of tyrany, the middle easterners don't really have much of a concept of what Liberty is like. Not their fault. Just the way it is. May take them a while to get a clue about the benefits of Liberty, but they're not dummies, and IF you believe in the benefits and universal longing for Liberty in ALL men, albeit maybe it takes a little while for the possibile reality of same to sink into folks' brains that have not really known it for 5,000 years, then you believe in the war whether you realize it yet or not.

I know one thing for sure, and EVEN THE DEMS' VOTE PROVES IT - if we pull out now, we'll be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, just like we did in Viet Nam. And that ain't smart, and it'll cost our kids' lives in the end - something I do NOT want to be responsible for.

What we're fighting for in Iraq and Afghanistan is our FUTURE - a future free of WMD laden Islamofascists. That we didn't FIND WMD's in the Iraqi war does NOT mean that Saddam didn't HAVE them, though that now appears at least possible. Anyone familiar with Logic as a scholarly subject know this. The media apparently doesn't, and it's suspicious, isn't it, how the liberal (anti-Bush) media doesn't let FACTS like that bother them. Curious indeed. Like I said, whatever course Bush took, the only CERTAINTY was that according to the Dems, it was going to be wrong.

Mistakes were made (just like in all previous wars!) and not every intel report was correct (just like as in all previous wars!), and war is hell (just as in all previous wars!) and SOME folks TIRE of hearing about the war (just as in all previous wars!). HOWEVER .... this war IS different, and it's a sad commentary on the people of this nation when the attitude and speech of so many is determined NOT by facts and our future, but by one's political affiliation.

Truly a nation so sharply divided on such trivial matters cannot be destined to STAY "great" much longer! And there's gonna' be hell to pay when we fall, too. I hope you Bush haters are around to see the price that'll be paid for following your precepts. There ARE consequences for what it is that the Dems are doing, and even more, for the REASONS they're doing them.

I do think it's odd that the same people that wanted us to rely on intelligence to prevent 9/11 as if it was a slam dunk to know it was coming in advance are irate because we did do that with Iraq. I'm quite sure that if we tore up the countryside to root out AQ BEFORE the attack we'd be hearing the same shrill whining from the same people about that too.

I for one never heard of AQ before 9/11/01.All that I am hoping for is that if he is still breathing that he will be brought before a court and hopefully convicted. Not to oversimplify but when the bank is robbed lets go after the guy that did it.

The Bin Laden family and the Saudi KINGS including their offspring continue to enjoy special privileges..
Osama Bin Laden still owns an estate in England and quite probably is still under protection of MI6 & CIA &ISI intel groups..not that he'd need it.
His name and face and the various 'discovered' videos were used to create an evil nemesis which would help galvanize American<sheep> into funding, spending resources and killing our own and others by going to wars of empire, as was 9-11 itself.
The PNAC is just the tip of the iceberg, folks.

Used to promote the nefarious Patriot Bill and it's spawn..which were prepared long before 9-11..Fascism has come to the U.S.A. and the Constitution is dead in the Congress, the Exec Office and Supreme court..

Welcome to their world..gulag..perpetual fear and spending...boogeymen under YOUR beds..:)

Bin Laden is probably alive and well, possibly with a kidney transplants and new identity with full knowlege of the ones who originally built, funded and trained 'al Quaida':
CIA, MIS, ISI, Mossad...
He was and still is an asset..untouchable...
He didn't have anything to do with 9-11 either..
Folks closer to home done that dirty deed..jim

Jim, the foil hat will be way more effective, against mind control rays, and black helicopters if you put an advanced "stealth" surface on it. As a crenalated waffle like surface is what's called for, I would suggest using a meat tenderizing hammer (the one made of aluminum)....best results will be obtained by working the surface into yer foil hat, while wearing it.

I'm sure it will help.................

and brother, ........................you need it.
