Model 70 300 WSM, factory magnum contour barrel in a standard fill McMillan Compact pattern stock. Best pattern for the Model 70, in my opinion: trim, short forend; swept back grip; thick comb with no cheekpiece directing recoil straight back and allowing the scope to be mounted low.

Anybody have any photos? Lookin for one and need some help deciding. That's easy enough...: I also have to agree with Oregon45......Great approach to the model 70 when it comes to re-stocking....
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

My 358 in a supergrade stock. Norma, I assume? Nice rifle. What's the specs? Thanks Bearstalker. 358 Norma, Douglas #4 23" 1-12 twist. Ceracoated mate black by Eddie F. Supergrade stock, standard fill, 13 3/8LOP. Williams extractor and 1 piece bottom metal, Talley's, Leupold 2.5X8 9lbs all up. Not a lightweight by any means but it's comfortable to shoot, and throws 250 Gr. noslers in tight little groups.

My .338. It resides at my friends place in Wisconsin, where I have been planning to go for a deer hunt for the last 8 years. Still haven't made it. But, I have a rifle waiting there for me. Rifle has never been fired
