I have 2 Berger loads higher up on the page. In the Savage I was loading those .015" off the lands using a Hornady comparator to measure the ogive length. When using same data for the Kimber I had to load them to mag length which ended up being about .080" off the lands for what I consider a loooooong jump. The VLD's still perform fine for me loaded way off the lands, and have in 3 rifles I've used them in. Some may see a diffference, but I haven't. Maybe I've been lucky? I also don't use hunting rifles further than 300 yards, that may be why I don't see a huge change.

H4350 with 100gr Sierra Hp. Very accurate and deadly. I have some Noslers to try but have not taken the time.

Darn lil 85 Sierra shoots tiny bug holes in my .260. It also seems to like 120 NBT's and the 130 Bergers.

Either of the Sierra HP's (85 or 100) and 45 to 48 grains of H4350 has been accurate in about every .260 I've shot...

42.0 gr. of '15 and 95 VMax's is showing some promise in my Faux Ti. Will see what a bump does this afternoon. I figure 95's for playing and 100 TTSX for slaying.....

The last group I shot with the Kevlar M7 .260 with a 22" ER Shaw barrel went 0.28" at 100 yds. 43.5 gr of Varget, 95 gr Vmax, CCI 250 and 2.71" OAL. It thinks it is a varmint rifle for sure.

Wish it shot heavier bullets as well, but never found a sub-MOA load with 120, 125, or 130 gr bullets........ Nosler BT, Accubond, Partitions or Barnes TTSX.

I just ordered a set of RCBS .260 dies along with some 100 Partitions and 100 Hdy. Interlock Spire-points today. I like the 150 Part. in the '06 so hopefully this will do well also.

Yeah yeah, I know. She read some article about lead fragments in ground meat and kids eating deer meat. Twist my arm to buy premium bullets.

Well, I do have some of the 168 TSX loaded up in the '06 for Elk season this fall. I hope to also try one out during Spring Bear season coming up. For deer-skis and anty-lopes, I would have to think the 100 Partition would do 'er in the .260.

same here, that is the ONLY 6.5 bullet I have never had any luck with as far as accuracy or consistency...

and don't use Hornady's load data with a max load of Benchmark with that bullet either.. or get ready for a popped primer...

skip the 95 V Max and use a 100 grain Ballistic tip if you are looking for accuracy...

I run 100 grain bullets at 3350 fps out of 22 inch barrels and 3450 fps out of a 26 inch barrel using 4064...on a regular 260... Win 7/08 or 308 brass necked down..

problem with the Vmax is they have to be seated a little deeper or they get close to the lands and also lose accuracy.

Mine shoot great in a compact Ruger with Benchmark powder, and no sign of overpressure.

I have TAC, W748, H414, H4350, and RL-19 on hand. Which would you recommend for the 100's? The Speer manual shows the 19 as best for 120 and 140.
