Speaking of arrogance...

Made sense to me, but then I didn't watch the show, nor do I know anything about rowing a rubber raft.

Duct tape and a bar of soap I know about... they are good...

Hand Sanitizer is a stop-gap product- such as for kids to use in a classroom, or lunchroom if they don't have time to wash hands before lunch (You ever try to run 300 kids through three small restrooms in 5 minutes before lunch?), in the purse or car, etc- for unplanned or quick-time events... Like I said, sanitizer is a compromise when one can't wash with soap - it does not remove dirt, only retards the germs a bit.... Good to have on hand if you sneeze into your hand or forgetfully pick a bugger while driving...that kind of thing. It is not a substitute for soap and water especially in the out and about. And maybe a smidgeon of bleach for surfaces - cutting boards, tables , utensils and the like, after they are "clean" especially around blood and fish slime.

Sanitary wipes ("baby wipes") are actually a better idea to carry in the outdoors than hand sanitizer.

Some of the hand sanitizers make a good fire starter. Gelled alcohol. Wet wipes are a great item. keeps the baboon azz at bay.

This sounds like an interesting show - sorry I missed it this winter.

I watched and it was entertaining and at it was more realistic than most hunting shows out there. They may not have been experts, but they did pretty good for not doing this type thing before. Not many of us CONUS bound types have the luxury of becoming experts before we go.

I think those two did pretty good. They killed a caribou and two moose, made a lot of great memories together as brothers and survived a month in the Alaskan wilderness. I watched a few of the later episodes and was thoroughly entertained, and jealous. Thought it was pretty ballsy of them.

One of the better hunting shows out there. I'm glad I DVRd 'em though. Each episode only had about 12 minutes of watching between the commercials. It was interesting to watch them mature. At first, they were trackin' moose up the hills and wearing face paint! Eventually, they just hunkered under a tarp by the fire and waited until the moose stumbled into camp, just like a real Alaskan hunter!

That's funny stuff there! Then again that is how I took my 1st moose (she wandered into my camp) : )

Love the drama and the "survival" aspect - uh huh! smile Seriously? I suppose they were feeding that film crew too? It was a unique angle, but just a hunting show stretched over too many weeks. There was certainly no life or death. That said, it was different and I watched all but the last episode or two and would have watched those had I not switched TV providers.

I watched every episode of Dropped and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, those boys weren't very adept at rowing their rafts, but unless you've done it before, how do you learn? They had top-notch gear, especially their tents. The scenery was wonderful and I'm glad they filmed the adventure. It was much more interesting to view than a tree stand hunt for black bear or whitetails. I only hope it doesn't inspire 10,000 hunters to attempt the same thing this fall.

I too get tired of the endless commercials but then again, we get better and better gear every year. Better guns, better knives, better optics, better clothing... I guess I have to look on the bright side of competitive commercialism.
