Does anyone know if there are any manufacturers out there that produces rifles in 338RCM or 300RMC other that Steyr-Mannlicher and Ruger?

...........To my knowledge, Ruger and Steyr are the only two.

However, if you`re considering a 300 RCM, thinking it can either duplicate or out-do a 300 WSM??........It won`t!

Similar yes. But duplicate and/or out perform the 300 WSM given the same barrel length?......Nope.

The same holds true comparing the 338 RCM to the 338 Win Mag.

I am not stacking up different velocities and trying to choose the fastest one. Of the Short Mags, the RCM makes the most sense to me. It feeds Smoothly, and has better case geometry. If I wanted more punch I would get a Win Mag or Weatherby. But I dont want a 26" barrel, or the additional Weight or the additional recoil. The RCM just makes sense to me. I think the 338RCM will make an excellent Elk, Moose, Bear Rifle. And for Africa it will make a great Kudu, Eland, gemsbok and Large Cat Rifle. Basically a great large game caliber with the exception of African Dangerous game like buffalo.
