Not yet! In France except in three zones close to Germany (Alsace 2 zones, and Moselle, one)hunting roe buck (stalk and stand only)open first of june! We are numerous hunters sharpening our knifes and looking at equipment. I leave to the range soon (it's7.45AM now)to train again with shooting sticks, kneeling, prone and off hand. Have good day. Dom Some taken two years ago...Will not reveal the place. Lot of as good as these there....

Never shot roe or game in fenced area! The roes on picture were taken on a 60000 hectares of fields, forests, hills and plains on the territory of 6 villages in south west of France where they roam free and grow big. And i know about eastern country too. Not Romania but Hungary, Poland, Lithuania, eastern of Germany close to Tchecoslovakia, former Yugoslavia; to add a bit my father was Hungarn...
But i agree your roe deers are rather nice and good ones!!
Have good hunt
Dom

it's a good trophy ....maybe if you do not have good one's in the area is better to shoot by camera ....and let it breed ...:) Once in a life time i agree to shoot the "trophy of your live" but for usually season I prefer to select the one without value... but this is only my opinion ....:)
